# Reach the people behind recorder.video

A recorder earns trust by never losing a take, so if one disappeared, or capture simply refused to start, please tell us. Feedback arrives by email only. There is nothing to sign up for and no form to fill in.

## Send us

* **Recording problems.** Which browser and operating system, what you were capturing (a screen, a window, a tab, the camera or audio only), how long the take ran and what happened after **Start recording** or **Stop**. Please describe the recording instead of attaching it; we can investigate without seeing what was on your screen.
* **Download and format trouble,** such as a **Download MP4** that won’t play in another app, a GIF that looks wrong or sound that drifts out of step.
* **Camera, microphone and captions.** Background blur that flickers, a microphone that isn’t picked up, or on-device captions that come out garbled.
* **Feature requests.** A size preset, a keyboard shortcut or a guide for a device we don’t cover.
* **Press.** Questions about recording, storing and converting in a browser tab without a server.
* **Privacy requests.** Takes stay in your browser and never come to us. For anything in the [privacy notice](https://recorder.video/privacy), analytics included, write to the address above.

## What to expect

recorder.video is maintained as an independent project, so there is no set turnaround for replies. Each email is read, and a report that names the browser and the steps you took is the quickest to act on.
